01 — Agreement to terms

As consideration for being allowed to purchase or otherwise obtain a registration for, and to participate in and attend, Psychedelic Science 2027 (the "Event"), produced by Psychedelic Science Events LLC, a subsidiary of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, Inc. (collectively, "MAPS"), you agree to comply with any and all rules, regulations, terms, and conditions of MAPS and of the Event, including without limitation all of the terms provided below ("Terms and Conditions").

02 — Your registration

Your Event registration ("Registration") is valid for access to the Event only by you and only for the date(s), time(s), and location(s) listed on your Registration. Limit one (1) Registration per person. No one will be allowed inside the Event venue without their own valid Registration. Entry and access to any add-on experiences or benefits during the Event is governed by the additional registration terms associated with the experience or benefit type purchased.

03 — Minors

Children under 18 years of age may attend the Event only accompanied by a parent or legal guardian holding a valid Registration. The parent or guardian will be asked to provide their accompanying child's name and age during the registration process, which will be used solely for eligibility verification and on-site safety and emergency identification purposes. By providing this information about your child, you consent to its limited processing for these specific Event-related purposes. MAPS will not sell this information or use it for marketing or any other purposes. You may request the deletion of this information at any time after the Event concludes by emailing info@psychedelicscience.org. If you bring a minor to the Event, you agree to all provisions of these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the minor.

04 — Refunds, cancellation & rescheduling

ALL REGISTRATION SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds will be provided for any reason, unless the Event is canceled in its entirety or rescheduled. If the Event is rescheduled, you will be notified at the email address you provide in connection with your Registration and will have thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the rescheduling notice (the "Refund Window") to decide if you would like a refund or for your Registration to roll over to the rescheduled Event. If rescheduled Event dates are not announced, if you are unable to attend on the new dates, or if you would prefer to receive a refund, you MUST submit your request to info@psychedelicscience.org within the Refund Window. If your request is not received during the Refund Window, your Registration will automatically roll over to the rescheduled Event dates.

MAPS is not liable for any Event cancellation, rescheduling, or delays due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation weather, natural disaster, health epidemic or pandemic, damage to or destruction of Event facilities, denial of permits or permissions required for the Event, strikes, labor stoppage, protests, riots or civil commotion, terrorism or other hostilities, travel bans or restrictions, or any act, order, rule, or regulation of a government or governmental agency.

05 — Programming changes

Event dates, times, programming, and other details (including without limitation the details of any add-on experiences or benefits) are subject to change, delay, or cancellation with or without notice for any reason. No refunds will be available due to programming changes or for any other reason, except as described above.

06 — Transfers

You may request to transfer your Event registration to another attendee by emailing info@psychedelicscience.org at least fourteen (14) days prior to the first day of the Event and providing any information requested to transfer the registration to the other attendee. Registration transfer requests received later than this deadline may not be processed.

07 — Capacity & access

08 — Health, safety & security

You agree to comply with all of the Event's health, safety, and security requirements and protocols and all instructions provided by MAPS representatives and/or Event staff, with any applicable Event venue policies, and with the requirements or recommendations of federal, state, and/or local health officials. The Event's health, safety, and security requirements, protocols, and instructions are subject to change at any time in MAPS' sole discretion and/or in accordance with Event venue policies or the requirements or recommendations of federal, state, and/or local health officials.

You may carry and take your legally prescribed medications within the Event venue, provided that the medications are kept in their original pharmacy container and used in accordance with your healthcare provider's instructions. Even if you have a medical recommendation for cannabis or a natural medicine such as psilocybin, the use or possession of these substances is prohibited within the Event venue. If you require a specific accommodation related to a disability, you may contact us at info@psychedelicscience.org at least 30 days prior to the Event.

10 — Animals

Only service animals are allowed inside the Event venue. Personal pets are not permitted inside the venue during the Event.

They are non-transferable and remain the property of MAPS. To maintain the security and integrity of the Event, in the event that your Credential is lost, stolen, forgotten, or misplaced, it will not be replaced or reprinted. Sharing your Credential with another individual is strictly prohibited. Any attendee found sharing a Credential will have their Event access revoked immediately without a refund.

13 — Venue rules

The Event venue may impose additional rules and regulations that govern the use of the facilities, and you agree to adhere to all such venue rules and regulations as a condition of attending the Event and participating in Event activities.

14 — Privacy

Any information you provide in connection with your registration for or attendance of the Event is covered by the MAPS Privacy Policy, available at maps.org/privacy. By registering for and attending the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions by reference.

15 — Registration website

MAPS, in its sole discretion, may work with one or more third parties to provide the Event registration website. MAPS does not promise that the Event registration website will be error-free or uninterrupted or that any errors or defects will be corrected.

THE EVENT REGISTRATION WEBSITE, CONTENT, AND SERVICE ARE DELIVERED ON AN "AS-IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. MAPS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER STATUTORY, EXPRESS, OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. MAPS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE EVENT REGISTRATION WEBSITE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. MAPS MAKES NO GUARANTEE OF THE AVAILABILITY OF EVENT REGISTRATIONS OR OF THE ABILITY TO ACQUIRE THEM VIA THE EVENT REGISTRATION WEBSITE.

16 — Right to remove

MAPS and its representatives reserve the right to revoke your license granted by the Registration, seize your Registration, refuse your admission, and/or remove you from the Event venue for violation of these Terms and Conditions, failure to comply with any other rules or regulations of the Event or the venue (including without limitation any prohibition on recording and photography), harassing or offensive conduct, use of vulgar or abusive language, failure to comply with the directions or instructions of MAPS' representatives, failure to submit to required health screenings or searches, or any other reason whatsoever, as determined by MAPS in its sole discretion.

17 — No expectation of privacy

You understand and agree that your appearance and actions inside and outside the Event venue are public in nature and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct associated with the Event. You acknowledge that the Event may be filmed and photographed by MAPS and other parties.

18 — Likeness & recordings

By attending the Event, you agree that MAPS, its representatives, and others working for it or on its behalf have the right to record and photograph you. You hereby irrevocably grant MAPS the right to use your image, appearance, likeness, and voice (collectively, "Your Likeness") as they appear in any photograph, audio recording, or video recording taken during the Event (collectively, "Recordings"), along with your name(s), avatar(s), sobriquet(s), and any biographical information that you provide at or in connection with the Event (collectively, "Your Information"), in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, whether in whole or in part, whether alone or accompanied by other material, on a worldwide basis and in perpetuity in connection with the promotion of the Event or MAPS' other charitable activities or for any other lawful purpose whatsoever. You waive any ownership or publication rights with respect to any such use of the Recordings, Your Likeness, or Your Information, and you agree that you will have (a) no right to inspect or approve the Recordings or the written copy that may be used in connection with any use of the Recordings, Your Likeness, or Your Information; (b) no claim to payment or other compensation relating to any use of the Recordings, Your Likeness, or Your Information; and (c) no other claim whatsoever (including without limitation claims based upon invasion of privacy, defamation, libel, slander, false light, or right of publicity) arising out of any use of the Recordings, Your Likeness, or Your Information as specified herein, including without limitation any blurring, alteration, distortion, illusionary effect, faulty reproduction, or use in composite or modified form of Your Likeness. You understand and agree that MAPS does not have any obligation to use Your Likeness or Your Information for any purpose at all.

19 — Attendee photography

While attending the Event, you are welcome to take photos and short-form video (e.g., short clips for Instagram Stories, TikTok, or LinkedIn) for your personal, non-commercial use, provided such activity does not disrupt the Event experience for others. To protect the intellectual property of our speakers and the integrity of the Event, the recording or live-streaming of entire sessions, keynote presentations, or workshops is strictly prohibited. To respect privacy and facilitate an environment that engages with sensitive topics, no photography or recording is permitted at any workshop without the permission of the facilitators. You may not use, license others to use, or otherwise distribute any photos, audio recordings, or video recordings captured at the Event for commercial gain or to imply MAPS' official endorsement of any product or service. You agree to be mindful of your fellow attendees, and if anyone asks not to be photographed or filmed, you will respect their privacy. MAPS reserves the right to request that any attendee stop recording or leave a session if their filming becomes disruptive.

20 — Trademarks & intellectual property

You acknowledge that "Psychedelic Science," "MAPS," "Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies," and all logos and other trademarks associated with MAPS and the Event (collectively, "MAPS Marks") are and will remain the property of Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, Inc., which has the exclusive right to license and enforce the MAPS Marks and any other trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property it owns. You are permitted and encouraged to use the MAPS Marks for personal, non-commercial purposes, including social media posts, photos, and videos documenting your participation in the Event and tagging the Event or MAPS. Without express written authorization from Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, Inc. or Psychedelic Science Events LLC (e.g., via an Event sponsorship agreement), you may not use any MAPS Mark or other intellectual property for any commercial purpose or in any way that implies an official endorsement, partnership, or affiliation. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to, using the MAPS Marks to promote or sell commercial products or services, creating merchandise or other goods featuring the MAPS Marks, or registering domain names or social media handles that incorporate the MAPS Marks. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to restrict your rights under applicable fair use doctrines, such as using the Event name to truthfully describe the location or subject matter of your professional activities.

21 — Assumption of risk

You further acknowledge and understand that you are attending and participating in the Event voluntarily and at your own risk and that Event attendance and participation could involve certain risks of personal injury, illness (including without limitation exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable and/or infectious diseases), death, damage to property, and other loss. You hereby knowingly and voluntarily expressly assume full responsibility for all such risks that may arise or result from your attendance or participation in the Event, whether occurring in or around the Event and its premises.
