MDMA-Assisted Therapy Introductory Workshop
Monday June 19, 2023 9:00am – 5:00pm MDT
This workshop has reached capacity and is sold out.
The safety and efficacy of MDMA-assisted therapy is currently under investigation. It has not yet been approved by the FDA or other regulatory authorities, does not work for everyone, and carries risks even in therapeutic settings.
Additional registration fee applies.
This introductory MDMA-assisted therapy workshop will provide an overview of the therapeutic approach utilized throughout MAPS’s Phase I, II, and III MDMA-assisted therapy clinical trials.
Clinicians interested in MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD can learn about the treatment design, published study outcomes, and therapeutic approach.
Core elements of the therapeutic approach will be discussed as they relate to theoretical understanding and practice of the modality, these may include: inner healing intelligence, inner-directed process, trusting the process, beginner’s mind, somatic manifestations, person-centered support, therapeutic alliance, and trust.
The presenters bring case examples and first-hand experience from their work on the MAPS-sponsored MDMA-assisted psychotherapy clinical trials to share in a lively day of presentation, discussion, and experiential activity.
