MDMA-Assisted Therapy Set and Setting Workshop
Tuesday June 20, 2023 9:00am – 1:00pm MDT
The safety and efficacy of MDMA-assisted therapy is currently under investigation. It has not yet been approved by the FDA or other regulatory authorities, does not work for everyone, and carries risks even in therapeutic settings.
Additional registration fee applies.
This MDMA-Assisted Therapy Workshop will provide interested clinicians with information covering various ways to foster a set and setting conducive to MDMA-Assisted Therapy sessions.
Presenters will bring case examples and first-hand experience from their work on the MAPS-sponsored MDMA-assisted psychotherapy clinical trials. They will cover topics such as how to support a participant’s mindset, how to “set the stage”, key qualities that make up ideal physical settings and the importance of environmental context.
Workshop participants will participate in a variety of experiential activities and will have the opportunity to “design” their own therapy room. Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions will be included throughout the morning.
